Awesome people come in all forms, teachers, sons and daughters.

When I wrote my previous blog, I was not looking for anything in return. But, I would like to thank our most gracious instructor for his kindness and understanding. I am really enjoying being back in school, it's a whole new chapter in my life. I decided to jump back in to school with both feet planted firmly on the ground, by taking a full schedule and working full time. I didn't give it a second thought, about whether I could carry a full time schedule, I just did it. My mother taught us to never say "can't", so I know that I can do this. My son use to say, I was very hard on him about education and I was! I pushed him and pushed him until he earned his degree in Culinary. Now, he says he's grateful that I did push him because, he's now a Sous Chef at a prestige private club in Newport Beach. He's working towards that Executive Chef position, that he so desires. My daughter she's an awesome woman, she's in a nursing program full time days and attending RCC part time nights. The two of them are my main accomplishments in life, they make me very proud to be their mother, and I don't regret for one moment, putting them first in my life before I finished my own education.

Life Learning Experiences

I had a life learning experience today in my English class. I've been out of school for 20+ years before there were computers. I didn't understanding the concept of "hybrid" and I'm from the "old school" where everything was written down in black and white. Last night, I looked at my syllabus for English and I didn't see any assignment for this Saturday. Needless to say, I lost 50 points today. It took me awhile to remember what the teacher said in class last week about the blackboard, but I finally did it! Now this blogging is a another whole new concept for me! Wow, do I feel old. :-) Could we maybe take a step back to the days of hammer and chisel and have everything written out?
